Celebrating the abundant fresh produce from our farm in Gardners Bay, the Cannery's head chef Lachlan Colwill is presenting a delicious and inventive vegetarian tasting menu.

Having previously run a regional 2 hatted restaurant in South Australia, Lachlan moved to Tasmania to explore the state and to find a place to settle. After coming across the Cannery and its farm in Gardners Bay, he felt inspired to join the team and work in an environment that fosters a strong connection between the restaurant and the farm. 

For this Farm Lunch Lachlan is excited to show his take on Tasmanian winter ingredients, influenced by his travels around the world. 

Gardners Bay Farm is 140 acres of mixed pasture and bush 10 minutes from the Cannery. It is a developing multi-species integrated farm that aims to showcase how efficient and productive well managed small-scale agricultural systems can be.
